The water from St Peter’s Spring emerges at a soothing 30°C and has been attracting visitors for over 100 years.

Here, we let ourselves drift, fully embracing the calming experience of meditative bathing. The monolithic building, crafted from rough concrete and Vals quartzite blocks, pays homage to the primal beauty of the Vals Valley. It is a work of timeless quality and simple elegance.

Designed by architect Peter Zumthor, the spa is built from local quartzite and sits atop Graubünden’s only thermal mineral spring. Its design reflects the original bathing experience: a harmonious connection with the stone and water at varying temperatures. The spa stimulates the senses, inviting guests to engage with the scents, sounds, and rituals of bathing.
