Alpine RouteFanellhorn

As the highest of the marked 3000-meter peaks in Vals, the Fanellhorn offers mountaineers views into the Valsertal that remain hidden from most visitors.

Vals 3000 Plus: Among the marked 3000-meter peaks in Vals, the Fanellhorn stands as the highest summit. With its distinctive pyramid shape, this mountain dominates the expansive valley landscape as a centrally located, independent mountain massif.

The Fanellhorn offers a glimpse into the Valsertal that remains hidden from most visitors. To the southeast of the mountain lie large alpine lakes and the Fanell Glacier, the second-largest glacier in the Valsertal. From the summit, the snowy peaks of the Adula massif and the rugged rock summits stretching toward the Rheinwald and Misox feel within arm’s reach.
