Experience the most popular hike in the Valsertal, leading through moorland and alpine meadows to a stunning viewpoint over the Zerfreila Reservoir.
HikingPanoramatour
The most popular walk in the Valser valley. With minimal effort you’ll cross open terrain to reach Zerfreila, where you’ll be surrounded by beautiful alpine scenery.
The route from Gadastatt to Zerfreila offers stunning panoramic views of the valley. The path passes through moorland and alpine meadows, with the Dachberg above, a prime spot for skiers and freeriders in the winter months. At Frunt (1990 m), perched on a rocky outcrop, stands the St. Anna Chapel, built in 1754. From here you can see the Zerfreila reservoir, with the 2821-metre Zerfreilahorn – often called the “Grisons Matterhorn” – towering majestically above the lake.
