The Selvasee is a secluded mountain lake full of peace and natural beauty – a place to breathe, unwind, and escape the everyday.
HikeSelvasee-Tour

High above the valley floor of Vals, at 2,297 meters above sea level, lies a place that radiates tranquility and invites you to pause, marvel, and immerse yourself in the alpine landscape: the Selvasee.
What makes the Selvasee so unique is the unexpected openness of the surrounding landscape. Standing on the southwestern shore and looking northeast, the scenery appears almost flat – a rare sight at this altitude. Early risers will feel right at home here, as few places in the Valsertal are bathed in sunlight as early and as long as the Selvasee. In the evening, golden light casts a magical glow over the landscape. Its proximity to rewarding hiking destinations like the Ampervreilhorn or Hohbüel makes the Selvasee an ideal stopover or starting point for alpine tours – or simply a place to arrive and just be.
