The Courses
Main Race
The starting shot is fired at 10:45 a.m. on the village square in Vals. The runners can expect a varied course along the famous hiking trail (single trail) to Zervreila, continuing via Frunt to the finish at Gadastatt. The race covers approximately 12 kilometers. From the lowest point (start in Vals) to the highest point (Frunt), a total elevation gain of 730 meters must be conquered. Despite official timing and rankings, the focus is on the running experience. The Valser Autumn Run is open to running enthusiasts of all ages. Trekking poles are permitted as an aid; however, they must be carried all the way to the finish.
Youth Race
We are now also offering a youth race for our young runners. The 3.8 km course starts at 12:30 p.m. in Frunt and finishes at Gadastatt. Transportation to the start (up to Zervreila) is available by post bus departing from Vals Post at 11:16 a.m. The youth race is suitable for children and teenagers born between 2010 and 2018.
Children’s Race
The children’s race takes place at around 1:30 p.m. It is an obstacle course held around the mountain restaurant Gadastatt and is suitable for children born between 2016 and 2023.

More Information
The race number distribution for all categories takes place on Saturday, October 3, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on race day from 8:30 a.m. in the foyer of Zentrum Glüs. Late registrations for the main race and the youth race are possible at Zentrum Glüs until 10:15 a.m. Late registrations for the children’s race are possible at Gadastatt until 1:00 p.m. Please pay attention to the announcements from the speaker. The main race starts on Sunday at 10:45 a.m.
Baggage can be dropped off at the start and will be transported to the finish at Gadastatt. Changing rooms are available at Zentrum Glüs.
Showers are available at Gadastatt.
The prize-giving ceremony takes place at around 2:00 p.m. at Gadastatt.
The ascent and descent by gondola are free of charge for everyone. The gondola operates continuously throughout the day, including over the lunch period.
Parking is located at the valley station of the gondola. Please note that the parking fee is CHF 8 per day. Tickets can be purchased at the parking machine or paid via the Parkingpay app or TWINT app.
