Travelling by car
Take the A13 motorway to Chur, exit at Reichenau Flims, continue via Flims-Laax to Ilanz and turn off into the Vals Valley.
In summer there is also the picturesque route over the Oberalp Pass.
Travelling by public transport
The Postbus (PTT) Vals-Ilanz goes down into the valley. The Rhaetian Railway offers regular connections:In the direction of Chur as the main transport axis, in the direction of Disentis with connections over the Oberalp Pass to Central Switzerland or the Valais.
Parking facilities
Please note that parking on public land and within the village is subject to certain restrictions:
- Parking is prohibited in the following areas: village square, Gasse, Kaplaneihaus, Gasselti, and Zameia. Please follow the posted signage.
- Paid parking spaces are available in the ‘Bidem’ area, near the village square.
- Long-term parking on public land requires a permit from the municipality. For more information, please contact your landlord or the municipal office.
Electric charging stations
There is a charging station for electric cars at the Glüs centre in Vals. You can charge your car there using the OR code or the eCarUp app. There are two connections at the charging station. The charging station is located in the car park in front of the school building in Vals.
Guest card
The Vals guest card gives you reduced admission to the Vals thermal baths. If you are staying in a hotel, you can obtain the card directly from your hotelier. If you are staying in a holiday apartment or holiday home, you will receive the guest card from your landlord.
