Since November 1, 2019, bearer shares are only permitted for publicly listed companies or as book-entry securities. By April 30, 2020, other companies, including Visit Vals AG, are required to convert their shares into registered shares. For this conversion, the company must know who its shareholders are. Therefore, shareholders who have not yet registered are requested to enter their information in the shareholder register as soon as possible. Registration should be done as follows:
Natural Persons
First and last name, full address, date of birth, copy of government-issued photo ID (passport, ID or driver’s licence), proof of share ownership*.
Swiss Legal Entities
Company name with an extract from the commercial register, proof of share ownership*
Foreign Legal Entities
Company name with a current certified extract from the foreign commercial register (apostille) or an equivalent document, proof of share ownership*
*Shareholders can prove ownership of bearer shares by providing a copy of the share certificate or a current statement from the bank indicating that the shares are held in a securities account.
Please proceed as follows:
- Download the form for the registration of bearer shares below.
- Complete the form and return it with the required documents by post or Email.
- Alternatively, you may register your shares with us at the tourism office. Please bring the shares or share certificate along with your identification.
